Glad I found "Our Place" on a Saturday early morning as breakfast options are limited in Ocean Shores. I had the Our Place Omelet which has a Greek flair to it with Feta cheese. And the sourdough toast had a garlic flavor, very good. I found Our Place a comfortable place for breakfast and was able to eat and read the paper comfortably. Driving by later it look's to get packed, so get there early.

Gave this place another shot as we came here a few months ago, and the food was just so so. This time, I ordered the chicken fried steak and was disappointed. The steak was extremely greasy and almost inedible (I could only eat half of it) and it was bland. I know it's fried, and it's supposed to be greasy, but this was a little too much. I felt sick afterwards. The potatoes are not good and not what I consider hash browns. And for $12.95, I expected to be satisfied. My hubby had the French toast combo, and it was just alright. We may have to find another place to try next time, but there aren't a lot of options for breakfast in the area. Or better yet, just stay in and cook our own breakfast next time. I do have to say, the guy who seated us was super nice. I'd come back just for customer service like that.

At the recommendation of a friend we decide to stop by before leaving town this morning. It was a bit past 11 and it was not horrible crowded when we showed up. We noticed 2 tables getting up to leave and walked over to them to snag them for our group of 9. Mind you when we walked in we had seen the "order here" sign over the counter so we assumed you ordered and found a seat. There was no signage to imply that we should wait to be seated. We were quickly informed by an older gentleman that one of those tables was for a group of 4 but that he could get us seated when another table opened up. So we walked over to order our food and were informed we needed to wait to order until we had a table to sit at. It was all very confusing. I really think a simple sign could have eliminated the confusion. ....."Please wait to be seated" Just a thought. ;) Beyond that we were seated within 10 minutes and we're able to order I had the Smoked Salmon Scramble......it was amazing! ! You're at the beach. ....try something new and get this! I've never tried anything like it. ....eggs, smoked salmon, green peppers, onions, and cream cheese. .....all on top of hashbrowns! ! Hubby had the Surfers Burrito. ....another unique hit! We can't wait to come back the next time we are in town. :)

Really enjoyed breakfast at this little 'mom & pop' cafe on Ocean Shores Boulevard. This is not a full-service restaurant: order and pay at the register, take a number, then find a table and get your own coffee, cutlery, etc. Food was brought out quickly and proved to be hot and delicious! I went with the Cinnamon Roll French Toast with two eggs and bacon ($11), which was a perfect combination of sweet & savory. The coffee wasn't very good, though. Get here early if you're going to come at all: they're only open from 6am till 2pm, and on a weekend morning they get BUSY.

First realize that this is a small diner and per fire regulations the owner can only have a certain number of people in the restaurant at a time. You may or may not have to wait outside for a table but it is a covered area with some seating. The gentleman told us our table would be ready shortly and we should go to the counter to order. Our table was ready shortly after, breakfast was hot, portions were huge (too much for me) and it was fresh. It's definitely worth a stop in for breakfast. Everyone working was very pleasant!

Was a little suprised when we had to order at the counter when they had plenty of staff to come to the table and take your order. The food was great and I could have eaten the home made fries all day. Don't expect fancy but would recommend.

Went for breakfast, food was good, but like the rest of OS the service sucked. Ordered the eggs Benedict without the English muffin, when we sent it back because of the English muffin, we heard the cook say, scrape it off the muffin. Not make a new order, but take the EM out and send it back. We decided we could do that ourself. Not very friendly employees. Biscuits and gravy were good the hashbrowns were cold, and there was a fly in the water.

You seat yourself, walk to the counter to place your order, get your own water and silverware. They bring out the food to your table and that's it. They ARE NOT friendly. If the service was any less you'd be cooking it yourself too. The food is okay; not bad and not special either. The tables are uncomfortable; too low to the ground, like a child size table, and you have to hunch over. The only praise I can give is the prices are quite low. We will not come back here.

Giving 4 stars for perfect eggs. I enjoyed my Eggs Benedict and my husband enjoyed his Country Benedict. Eggs were perfect. Was not a fan of my hash browns. A bit under cooked and were lukewarm. But what counts is that my actual entree was wonderful. Coffee weak. Cafeteria style ordering. Food made as you order. Prices acceptable.

Omg. This place is awesome. Huge servings. The biscuits are to die for. So big and moist. So much flavor to every dish. Prices are great food is delicious.

Stopped for breakfast on a Friday morning. They were a little busy but still had no trouble finding a seat. The food was delicious, I had Eggs Benedict and husband had ham scramble. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was that it was a little pricey for a mostly self service restaurant. Not outrageous, but you have to get your own coffee and silverware and order at the front counter.

Excellent family mom and pop style restaurant without the corporate and fast food ick that other negative reviewers seem to crave. This is an affordable BEACH restaurant. Clean and homey. Large affordable quality timely portions. You are served by the cook and owner. Other reviewers don't understand hash brown potatoes with onions and peppers...probably never been to the SW USA. Thanks for a great breakfast. The salmon egg dish was GREAT....and only $30 for three!

Our Place is cute and awesome. The gravy today was a bit runny. Go for the Country Benny.

Cute restaurant right off the beach. Had chocolate iced donut that was soft and delicious. Their pancakes and omelettes were also exceptional. Everything is cooked to order and quickly! Highly recommend.

This review is just for their catering service. I attended a gathering that they catered. The food was amazing. Fresh flavorful fruit. The most wonderful piping hot clam chowder you'll ever taste. Wrap sandwiches stuffed full of fresh meat, cheese, and veggies. A delicious green salad with an abundance of blueberries. A rich super-moist cake with a berry filling and the best buttercream frosting I've ever put in my mouth. This place knows how to do a first rate job when it comes to catering!

  • Natasha V.

Lots of food for the price for sure. I am not a big fan of this place. It is getting busy sometimes and not very easy to find a table. I made a mistake ordering a waffle last time and it wasn't good . Heavy and doughy.

Homemade biscuits are delicious and baked fresh every morning. Food was great and made fresh. Great spot for breakfast!

I was in Ocean Shores doing a show and heard this was the place for Breakfast so I was excited to try it. So, this review for those who care about the quality of food that goes into their bodies as much as the taste. Yes, the food was tasty, my mistake was not taking the time to watch how it was prepared first. It was easy to do since the kitchen is in the open, but easy to miss whats going on unless watching closely. So, heres the bad news, I will describe my breakfast burrito. The eggs came out of a big plastic bag, the tortilla was microwaved for 60 sec, the oil was cheap GMO laced canola, the veggies were of the cheapest quality, the cheese was a step up from government issue, and the meat came in packages from god knows where. This place has no concept of local, sustainable or organic practices and I nearly threw up after pondering where my meal had actually come from.

  • Chelsey N.

One woman cooking everything, so the food takes a little longer. My husband enjoyed his Denver omelet for about an hour before it sent him to the bathroom. My eggs Benedict was bland and I did not like the "seasoned" potatoes, green peppers and onions. Seating was uncomfortable. We won't go back, which is sad, we wanted to like the place.

  • Kevin E.

Had breakfast there the other day, wife and I both had bacon and eggs, very good bacon, potatoes were cooked just right, you order at the counter and they bring your food to your table when it's ready, plus the have a little bakery there also, always have had great food there, only open till 2:00 but breakfast all day

  • Shawn K.

The service is great, the prices very reasonable and the food very tasty. You can't go wrong if you come here to eat. Mmmmmmm! My daughter loves the pancakes with chocolate chips. It brings to mind a saying I read once: "Men like chocolate; Women (even 13 year old ones) NEED chocolate." LOL

  • Erik L.

Came to this little breakfast/brunch spot after reading some reviews. The food was great, service was friendly. I'm only giving it 3 stars though because we waited for 45 minutes before getting our food, which is pretty slow for a breakfast joint of this size. It was especially disheartening to see patrons who arrived and ordered after you get served sooner. The food really was great though, not a bad place to check out.

    (3)
  • Kacey K.

Small place but the food was excellent. I had the biscuit and gravy combo with a giant slice of ham. The biscuits are baked fresh in house and the gravy satisfied this southern girl. Would definitely recommend this spot for breakfast!

  • Heather R.

Fun breakfast place with decent food and atmosphere. Parties of 5 or more might have trouble getting a table together as it is first come seating. Biscuits are heavy, but in a "stick to your ribs" sorta way. I had the eggs Benedict omelette, which had spinach and shredded cheese. ( had not melted yet!) the "hollandaise" was more of a thick weird cheese sauce, not bad tasting, but don't order if you are expecting the real deal. Great service, walk to the beach afterwards to burn that 5,000 calorie breakfast!

  • Heidi O.

A lot of great tasting food and great friendly service!!

  • Jenn A.

The set up of Our Place is a little odd. You find a table which are picnic table style look at the menu then go up to the counter to order. The coffee is also at the counter and is self serve. The coffee was cold and very weak and having to get in and out of a picnic style tables to refill the small mug several times was annoying. My husband had the eggs Benedict, the hollandaise was broken and tasted like a mix according to him. I had pancakes which were way too heavy and dense, I'm a fan of lighter pancakes and this is not the place to get them. Our daughter had a breakfast burrito that had so much grease coming out of it it created a puddle on her plate. She felt it was really unappetizing and didn't eat much of it. The service was friendly, that's about the only high point.

Thanks to Yelp for leading me in the right direction in a somewhat distant place. I love divey kind of breakfast places like this and I was definitely not disappointed. The place is aptly name and very family oriented. They had their young daughter serving up the food and as she rolled around a pair of wheelies. Pretty darn cute! My only qualm was that there were three of us (adults) and it got kind of squishy at the tables. But honestly, don't let that stop you!

  • Marizka C.

We got there at 11:00am and we didn't get our food until 12:10pm. The good was really mediocre: we ordered biscuit and gravy and the Cajun sausage and eggs. Based on the other yelp reviews, we were hoping the food was going to be worth the wait. But it wasn't worth it at all. So disappointed!!

Great place for breakfast. My picky eater loved the chocolate chip pancakes!

Wonderful Country Eggs Benny! Tomorrow attempting a bowling ball sized cinnamon roll!!

  • Ronda W.

What weird place, no wait staff but full services prices. Cold weak coffee. Cold tough potatoes. The lady who took my order was cranky and did not seem to know the menu. My son thought the biscuits were tough also...... This whole breakfast was hard to swallow.

  • Michele B.

Was looking for late breakfast and found this very good restaurant. Its low overhead help yourself and picnic tables so not for lounging. Very fast food service. Egg sausage was good with little grease. Biscuits great. Egg scramble as good as home. Hard working folks who aim to please. Quick easy delicious breakfast. Would return.

Bomb.com nice little family style joint great food.

  • Kyrsten G.

We came here for breakfast based off a locals recommendation. Its a small little place where you order up front and pay and then sit down. No big waiter service other than the person who brings out your food. We got the salmon scramble and a veggie scramble. Both were delicious and the well seasoned red potatoes were a great side. Great place to get your morning started.

    (4)
  • Sarah B.

A little bit of a strange set up, but good food. So first off, the door has a for sale sign on it. But the place was mad busy. You grab your own booth or table outside and then walk up to the order window and give them your order. A little strange, but it works. A great place for breakfast. We got some killer pancakes and omelettes here. Sure the coffee was not great but the food was fast and flavorful. Still open in the Summer of 2009.

We went after looking at the reviews on Yelp. I honestly was disappointed with both the food and the service. First of all, rather than having us sit down and order, we ordered and paid at the counter (supposed to tip before we even get the food on the credit card slip) and then sat down on the cold, hard benches. The hot cocoa was watery and in a tiny glass. The grapes on the plates were not washed and were quite dirty. Before ordering, I had specifically asked about the quality of the blueberries for the blueberry French toast. She said they were whole and good. She failed to mention that they had been frozen and were defrosted, off-color, and mushy. During the meal she came over to ask how everything was, and I mentioned the blueberries being mushy and asked if they had previously been frozen. She huffed off and came off as very rude. If you're going to ask how the food was, you should actually want to know the answer!! The reason I give this place two stars and not one is because the homemade biscuits were good and my boyfriend liked his biscuits and gravy with eggs and potatoes. Otherwise, I would have only given it one star. Also, the whip cream tasted funky.

Nice comfortable place, and a good value for breakfast. Good amount of food... Liked the potatoes especially. I'd definitely come back... If I didn't live 3000 miles away!

At first when we pulled up on a Monday morning we weren't sure if the place was open. Not many cars and there wasn't a big open sign. As we walked in you could see that it's a very small place. We sat ourselves and went up to the counter to order and get coffee. I had a maple bar, that they make there-it was amazing! The coffee was good but not hot, because it is self serve and had probably been sitting out. The food portions were good and very delicious. I will come back here next time I am in town.

We went to our place for breakfast, small quaint place that appears to be family own and ran. You have to be over a fifty and the same DNA to work there apparently. It is a type of place where you have to order at the counter and then have a seat and they bring the food to you. They have seating outside and inside, it is all bench/picnic style seating with a family atmosphere. The place is very small but many families on vacation and everyone was in a good mood. We ordered eggs Benedict omelette and the country eggs Benny, 2 cups of coffee and the paper. We sat down and started to get caught up on the daily news as the caffeine lowly trickled into our bloodstream. Didn't not even get the sports page and the food was served, ample portions and looked good. The potatoes had a good crisp and oily flavor but in my opinion could have used some peppers or some kick. My sausage and biscuits with eggs over easy was good. All covered in gravy just how the arteries like it. Her eggs Benedict omelet was also good, plenty of spinach and nice fluffy eggs. The only complaint is the hollandaise sauce taste more of a cheese dip but it was good. Overall for $25 it was perfect and filled the tummy's for a day walking around the beach. I would come again and would have given 4 stars if the hash browns had more too them and the coffee was better but still would recommend to a friend if he happen to land in ocean shores!

Gravy wasn't the best but their omelette's and potatoes were amazing!!

  • Megan P.

Went for breakfast today. It was GREAT!!!! I got the salmon scrabble- eggs, cheddar jack cheese, smoked salmon, peppers, onions, cream cheese all over breakfast potatoes with a fresh made biscuit and fresh squeezed orange juice. It may have been the best breakfast ever!! So Good. My husband got the biscuits and gravy- which he loved and a side of eggs. The locals all were eating here. The decor was nice- good for a beach town place. The service was very nice and helpful. The prices were reasonable between $7-10 for a large breakfast. We also got a cinnamon roll to go as it is a bakery too. The roll was all right- not as good as everything else. Come here- It is DELICIOUS!!!!! I am so coming back.

Visit on last week of April. This is a small breakfast place and the people assuming they are the owner are very friendly. They do have great price on regular coffee and yes you serve yourself. It took a bit longer than (over 30 mins) as we were the only table at the time and it was already noon, not peak breakfast hour. The food was ok but nothing memorable.

    (2)
  • Janders S.

Great breakfast. Go before they sell and move away. Dont let the look of the place fool you. Cash only.

    (4)
  • Darrin E.

I'm happy to say that they haven't sold this little hole in the wall yet (though the sign is still up). Went there with the pre-wife and got a tall stack, Denver omellette and a side of bacon. 'cakes were made to perfection, with portions larger than I could hope to consume. Omellette was tasty (though a tad too many peppers), and toast was cooked perfectly crisp. Bacon was also done to perfection; not too greasy, not too dry, very crisp. One weird thing was the packaged maple syrup. Why?? Also note that this is the locals haunt, so expect friendly talkative folks.

Went there this morning for breakfast. It was fast, hot and very good. A little different. You order at the counter sit down with a number and they bring your food to you. I ordered Ham and over easy eggs they were great, with sour dough toast and a side of gravy. The red potatoes were good too with bell peppers and onions. My husband ordered a beef Patty, scrambled eggs w/cheese and an English muffin. We will definitely be back again. Maybe lunch next time. The bummer is they are only open til 2pm.

  • Nicole M.

In the words of Richard Sherman this place is mediocre...starting with the service, it was painfully obvious the lady working was not very happy. No "hello" when we walked all we got was "menus are on the table" in a snarky tone. When we were ready to order she didn't have a smile she simply took our order, handed us a number, and said it will be out shortly. Next comes the seating, if you like sitting at the kids table this place is for you. All this place has is picnic tables only smaller, they are hard and extremely uncomfortable. Finally the food, I had a sausage omelet that was ok but nothing special and the so called "hash browns" more like potato flakes with peppers and onions (not a fan of peppers and onion in the first place) my boyfriend had the big breakfast, the gravy tasted like packaged country gravy that had been doctored up and the eggs were bland. Definitely not worth $30 and we will not be going back.

This is a dive-y, hole-in-the-wall type of diner that is GREAT for a basic breakfast. You have to order at the counter and then sit down, where the cooks (who I gather are also the owners) bring you your food. I was very happy with the self-serve bottomless coffee for $1.00 (can't beat it.) I ordered Bacon and Eggs and was happy to see that the bacon was cooked to perfection and not greasy at all. It also came with home-fried potatoes, which were very tasty and a perfect compliment to my meal. My boyfriend got some kind of a logger's special or a platter of some kind. It came with a bunch of meat, eggs, potatoes and a few flapjacks. He is not a pancake lover, but he could not stop raving about how melt-in-his-mouth the pancakes were. I took a bite and shared in his ecstasy. They were probably the best pancakes I'd ever tasted. As mentioned in previous reviews, remember to bring cash. There is still a FOR SALE sign out front, but this is a place you MUST go for breakfast if you go to Ocean Shores.

Fabulous little place. Delicious food, huge portions, fair priced. Friendly efficient staff. My new favorite place and a go to each time we come back to ocean shores!

Pros - Good breakfast. I had the spicy sausage, eggs over easy and a biscuit - all yummy. My friend had the hash, eggs, toast, ham - also good We took home a cinnamon roll - fresh made! Price a bit high Cons - Hard benches- albeit that is what keeps you from sitting around so people waiting in line can be seated

  • Tiffany L.

Food was great and filling. I had the french toast with ham and my husband had pancakes with bacon. We were both definitely full when we left. Customer service wasn't horrible but could use some help.

Had a great meat lovers omelet. The fried red potatoes were awesome. Good Service. Would have went there the next day but it was pretty busy on Mother's Day.

Best big breakfast and red potatoes!

Perfect little diner breakfast. Ordering at the counter and serve yourself coffee allows friendly staff to focus on cookin good stuff.

This place was our second choice for the clam chowder cook-off but it should have been our first! We went there for breakfast on our last day at the shore. The breakfast was great home cooking! We also found out they won the clam chowder cook-off! Yay for Our Place, they totally deserved it!

  • Jayme B.

Had a three egg, vegetable omlet. Very good with fresh, not canned vegetables. Accompanied with red potatoes and toast. I would recommend this place for breakfast, which they serve all day. Hours are 6am to 2pm.

Good food. Hot choc was watery as mentioned in another review. Would go back! Food is good and very reasonable prices.

I always go here when I am in Ocean Shores on vacation - They have a for sale sign in the door - I hope that they are still here when we come back through town - Always go where the locals go - I follow the traffic to the good food... And forget those terrible complimentary breakfasts at your hotel - Go to our Place!

    (5)
  • J R.

We practically licked our plates! Wouldn't go anywhere else for breakfast in Ocean Shores. Friendly, family run, clean. Not fancy, it's a kind-of hole in the wall...very casual. They open fairly early (6 or 7 am?) and close at 2pm. Ate here twice in one weekend and will definitely go back. Order at the counter, pay, take your drink to the table and they'll bring your order to you. So far, we've had the French Toast, Fried Egg Bagel Sandwich, Corned Beef Hash, Cinnamon Roll, biscuits, fried potatoes - all were very good. Enjoy!!

    (5)
  • Kelly P.

Ordered at the counter. Friendly and helpful. Had to wait about 15 minutes for our food. I had a ham and cheese omelet. Lots of tender ham. Great taste. Potatoes matched what others have said...yummy. DH has a chili cheese omelet. Also good, but would have liked onion in it. Lots of good food for a fair price.

The fried egg and cheese breakfast sandwich was epic! And the bagel I chose was bacon cheddar. So good!

Some of the older reviews mention a "For Sale" sign. Since then, this place has closed and reopened; it's not for sale, and seems to be thriving. Best breakfast in Ocean Shores.

    (4)
  • Andrea F.

My review is based on this: Sunday, 6:45 AM, they were open, no waiting, drip coffee to go for a buck fifty, friendly. Did not try any food but smelled good inside. Coffee was a great value.

  • T P.

It is a good casual breakfast place. We brought our 8 and 5 year old and they liked the waffle and pigs in the blanket. The pigs in the blanket could easily feed 2 children under the age of 10. It was a little over priced yet the food was fine.

    (4)
  • Michael G.

We had never been to Our Place on any Ocean Shores visits, but decided to recently and very glad we did. In fact we came back for seconds the next day.... And the staff remembered us! Their country version of eggs Benedict was fantastic as well as their Big Breakfast. Enjoy!!

  • Laney R.

4 stars for breakfast food but unfortunately 2 for service. The gentleman (I think he is the owner) that seated us was friendly and welcoming. However the cashier that took our order was awful. No smile, no customer service, monotone in her responses and offered no help when we asked questions. It's worth it for the food just be prepared for lack of friendly counter help.

    (3)
  • Clayton M.

We'd been there before and had an ok experience which is why I gave them 2 stars. Today we went and we open the door and a server rushes out carrying just a plate of bacon and a drink and pushes his way out. Then we start heading in and a waitress behind us says come back outside and wait. The people in there are waiting already. She pushes her way in the door making my wife push over our 2 year old. We ending up at Shilo for breakfast which is always good. You can keep "Our Place" to yourself.

So good! Everything homemade, cooked perfectly...... When busy, have to wait outside(small) totally worth the wait!

  • Alec C.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars, I would. The host was incredibly rude and immediately pushed us out the door onto the side walk before we had even fully walked through the door, barking at us that he "didn't have room" for us and that we must wait in the cold rainy parking lot until there was a table. Needless to say, we didn't stay for the food. As a final courtesy we explained that we would not be staying and why it was we were leaving but no attempt was made to keep our business and we were further told that it didn't matter, this was a small town and everywhere would be the same during the busy summer months. Worst service I have ever had, such a shame.

Amazing food. Got a pancake combo and it was wonderful. Family owned and awesome. Great customer service and everybody is incredibly nice that is on staff.

So good! Cute little breakfast place. Huge portions of food. I got the Meat lovers omelet and it came with toast of your choice and potatoes. The omelet was HUGE but I somehow managed to eat every bite. I couldn't stop eating it. Highly recommend

  • Andri P.

For Ocean Shore, the food is pretty good for brunch compared to other options. I got corned beef hash and waffle. Corned beef is pretty good. They got my order wrong. I ordered side of biscuit, but ended up with english muffin. I'm not sure if they called English muffin a biscuit... The atmosphere is homey and friendly. The people are very nice.

  • Michael V.

I want to give this place five stars but I can't only because the eggs (over medium) were undercooked. Everything was good. Great biscuits. The cinnamon roll french toast was great. All around good food and good service. They did remake the eggs correctly and were very polite and quick about it. There only reason for only four stars is that multiple eggs were underdone and had to be sent back.

  • Robert K.

We decided to try Our Place during our recent vacation in Ocean Shores and we are fans. Everything we ordered was really good, from the chicken fried steak (which was huge) to the cinnamon roll French toast. I actually ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger, which was fabulous and caused me to regret ordering a similar burger at Bennetts two days prior and cost $2 more. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of the lack of a kids menu for lunch. They have one for breakfast, not sure why they don't have one for lunch items. I wasn't happy paying $10 for a third pound burger for my 11 year old who eats very little. Other than that, we had a great experience at Our Place.

Excellent quick service. Delicious food! I ordered the near lovers omelet with marbled rye toast. Mmm mmm good. My son ordered the cinnamon toast French toast and said he could eat 100 of them. High praise indeed. Even my wife was impressed with her sausage and eggs breakfast. Highly recommended!

It is not fancy at all and I am ok with that. You look at the menu then order, There is no waiter service here and you will wait a while. It's small staff. Baked goods looked amazing. My husband and I split the suffers burrito which is huge. It was really tasty. The potatoes on the side were not cooked too well but oh well. There was a ton of people there so I will let it slide. The bacon had a maple flavor to it that I was not crazy about. A couple of friends in our group got the biscuits and gravy, they looked super good and I will be back to try them. You get a lot of food for the price and it is a hole in the wall place, I dig it.

I would have given 5 stars but the service was mediocre. Let's talk about the biscuits though.... WOW!!! SO FRESH AND SO GOOD! Next time would try the biscuits and gravy for sure. Needless to say we would come back but smile couldn't hurt ;)

Good quality food for a reasonable price. Pick a table so you have a place to sit, order @ the counter, and they bring you your food. Biscuits are great!

Food was ok, husbands eggs were extremely over cooked as well as the bacon, but my biscuits and gravy were very good great flavor and the biscuit was home cooked, I'm not a fan of the style In which you place order at counter then find a seat, had to buss a tablet myself for my family to sit. Would say it is in a desperate need of an update as well as a good scrub down. Probably not going to be going back.

New ownership. Food was not greatt. Specifically requested extra syrup for the waffles and they stated put some in there already. So when we got back to the hotel and opened it up they gave us none. The waffles were soggy already so no point trying to go back. Omelette was more like a big pile off egg with barely any ingredients. Pricey for what we got. Likely wont go back and will go to mcdonalds instead. Same quality food for less than half the price.

Food is delicious but the wait is unreal. 30-40 min until you can start waiting in line to order food. 10 min wait in line to order. 30 min wait at the table until food arrives!

First of all, props to the one woman showing running it all. She was cooking, taking orders, running food, cleaning, and maintaining some level of sanity. You go girl. Anyways, the food was good. Nothing out of this world. Just good and simple. The place could use a deep clean, but that's my only complaint. Unfortunately I am an OCD neat freak so for that- I deduct a star.

So sad... We were looking forward to another excellent breakfast, but they are currently closed for a big remodel. Too bad we won't get to eat here on this trip. Sign says they've been closed since some time in September and nothing about when they will reopen.

The quality has really gone downhill since the old owner sold the place to focus on his catering business.

Walk in, grab a menu, figure out what you'd like to try, walk to the counter, order, pay, and take a seat with your number. You serve your own water and coffee. When I came in bf and I both ordered french toast, I was able to trade my meat for potatoes at no extra charge. It was really yummy. It's your basic diner food, probably one of the best places to eat in Ocean Shores.

Terrible service, terrible food. Soggy toast, lukewarm eggs and precooked bacon they grab out of a bin above the grill and heat up. 7 people were "working" behind the counter, yet our food still took a long time to be made and served. Based on the food temp, I would say the food was either precooked or left to sit. A terrible start to any day...

I have tried to go to this restaurant at least 5 times, but the parking lot has been full or there is a line out the door. I had a long weekend, so went here on a Monday around 10am and the place was pretty empty and I had my opportunity! I was surprised at how this restaurant was 100% self serve. You get your menu, find your seat, walk up to the counter to order, go get your silverware, napkins, creamer and coffee from what I thought was the server's station. After sitting for a while I figured if I wanted the coffee we ordered, I'd better go get it myself. Turns out that's the way it works there. Our food was brought to our table, and the lady told us if we wanted some apple butter it was back over there by the coffee and I could go get some. The food was not great, but it was edible. Many items are pre-cooked and not made fresh to order. It was fast, but was it awesome? Unfortunately no. A bit on the expensive side too, considering each plate was about $10. Now, after we ate, I returned to the counter and got some baked goods to go, including what they called a Knock Your Sock Off Brownie, and it WAS the bomb. The pastries were very good and they had the tallest biscuits I've ever seen. Perhaps they should be in the bakery business. Ambiance and customer service I'd give 1 star, but the bakery items bring it up another star.

Since our hotel doesn't serve breakfast, we were able to explore options around the area. This place was only two doors down from where we were staying, and it looked like a fun place to eat, so we decided to give it a try. I fell in love as soon as we walked in - the atmosphere is so very casual, and the little tin VW model cars are such an awesome part of the decor. I fell in love with our server from the moment she told us the menus are on the table and we can order up front when we are ready. The menu selections are pretty diverse for such a small place, and you can tell from the baked goods case that they prepare all their own baked goods - I'm still dreaming about the chocolate frosted donuts! But, I decided to order the smoked salmon scramble, while my husband had a waffle and my son had the cinnamon roll french toast. The waitress very kindly (with just the perfect amount of sass!) took our order and let us know the silverware was right behind us in a nice little bin. I loved that part of it, because your knife, spoon and fork are wrapped in a neat little bundle in the silverware caddy. Oh yes, and the coffee was help yourself -- and it was a damn fine cup of coffee! The food arrived very quickly, and the portions are HUGE. My salmon scramble was like poetry on a plate. The eggs were tasty, the salmon was perfectly smoked and an excellent texture and the onions were super sweet and cooked perfectly. But, let me tell you, the bed of potatoes that lay underneath the eggs was like mom used to make. You know, nice and crispy with just the right amount of brown! They were so yummy they didn't need any ketchup or any other kind of seasoning. My husband was quite pleased with his waffle, and my son adored his cinnamon roll french toast. He was kind enough to let me try a bite, and it was eyes rolled back in the head nummy! We fell in love with the restaurant, the server and everything else about Our Place, and decided that whenever we are in Ocean Shores, we're going to make it our place, too!

Had the burger and I must say that it was amazing! Juicy, meaty and the bacon was perfect and thick and came with a good portion of fries for only $10. Service was also very nice. Over all very satisfied and we will be going back.

Not sure what the fuss is about this place. Food was just okay...a bit on the greasy side, frankly. Service was just about non existent. Crew was not very friendly (when I asked where to get coffee, got a very terse "it's behind you" with an eye roll. And for the price we paid...2 omlettes and coffee were almost $30...I expected a feast. Which it most decidedly was not.

Very average. Will be a forgotten meal by lunch. Good food, sloppy eggs. Busser rushing people to finish, rudely.

Had the surfers burrito. Not very impressive. The eggs were broken down so much I couldn't even recognize that there were eggs in it. And the chorizo wasn't chorizo like one would expect. Service was good and the place was clean. Tip... leave the scrambled eggs chunky and use good ground authentic chorizo. Also, either make your burger patties bigger or use smaller buns.

This is your average small-town diner. I can't say I expected more, especially since it is off season in Ocean Shores. The woman cooking in the kitchen was using her hands as the main utensil and she was well equipped with a ketchup bottle of oily yellow margarine which she used graciously in the Teflon pans. The kitchen looked like it could have used a good scrubbing. The good was acceptable. The cinnamon roll was bready and lacked flavor. I would say the best part was the price. My whole breakfast-- with coffee, was only like $8.50. The man who was taking orders at the counter was very serious. Don't try making jokes with him. He doesn't laugh.

I really love these kinds of places! Has a real, small town, home cookin' feel to it. We only went for breakfast so I can only give a review based on that, but they get 4 stars in my book. Amazing biscuits & gravy (1/2 order was plenty), cinnamon rolls, and eggs Benedict. "Our Place" is a must for breakfast when you're at The Ocean Shores! Not a lot of seating so you might wanna get there early...AND biscuits & gravy typically runs out by the end of the day.

Super great breakfast! It is small, it will be busy, you will have to wait...but so worth it!! Giant portions and good food. Definitely the home cookin comfort food kind of place you want to find on vacation. Bacon was soooo yummy! Definitely a new go to spot when we go to the beach.

This place is right on the main drag. It is not much to look at but serves up a mean breakfast. The donuts was exceptional (chocolate) and our two dishes were excellent. Try the biscuits and gravy!
